Who Is Vicky?

Let’s start with the journey that Vicky began over 20 years ago and what has brought us all to this page today Think back to big hair, big bags, and even bigger wedding dresses. Lionel Ritchie, Michael Jackson. Yes the eighties!

Vicky had just finished studying fashion in Melbourne and was given the opportunity to study in Paris!

Once in Paris Vicky was taught, by teachers who worked for the biggest design houses such as YSL and Dior. A significant Highlight for Vicky was meeting the biggest new name at the time Christian Lacroix. The skills, techniques and experiences she learnt in Paris moulded Vicky for the rest of her life. Over the past twenty years Vicky has continued to develop her skills while working in various fields of the fashion industry.

Vicky has owned and operated Peaches and Cream Children’s wear, Yet still 10 years after she sold P&C considered a benchmark in quality and design for children.

Vicky has and continues to judge the annual Textile Institute awards for students at RMIT. Bridal Couture work for a leading Couture house, contiues to have a long list of private clients through her Vassi label.

How Did We Get Here today

For many years family and friends were pushing Vicky to teach them to sew. What started off as a bit of fun and enjoyment has developed into a passion of hers. A passion that everyone she teaches is taught the right way. With the best methods, the best advice any home sewer can learn to sew as good as any professional. Is that not what we all want?
