Author Darts are an elemental structure in dressmaking to turn a one dimensional flat pattern into a 3 dimensional contoured garment. Darts help contour a garment to the shape of the body. They can be found at the bust, waist, hip, neck and shoulder. Darts are a V shape starting at a certain width at one end and tapering to point at the conclusion
